Great Dane, Savannah, Ga., unveiled a high-cube freight van, the P-101. The P-101 offers a 101-in. nominal inside width, which amounts to an increase of 80 cu-ft of cargo space. Two 48-in wide pallets fit inside side-by-side with less chance of interior damage during loading. The P-101 is designed with sheet-and-post technology should damage occur. Sidewall repairs require no special tooling or procedures and replaced components can be sold for scrap or recycled, unlike composite wall panels. The exterior skin sheets can be replaced without removing the interior lining.
